The hiyoku — a ceremonial inner lining panel traditionally sewn inside formal kimono — was removed during the upcycling process, so faint stitch marks may remain along the interior seams.
Professional cleaning before shipment may make these marks less visible, but some traces may still remain. We appreciate your understanding that this is part of what makes each piece one of a kind.

〈About Kote (Tailor's Iron) Marks on the Obi Belt〉
The obi belt of this skirt is made from repurposed fabric of the original kimono. In traditional kimono tailoring, a small iron called a kote is used to mark sewing positions on the fabric. Because of this, faint scorch-like kote marks, originally hidden inside the garment, may appear on the visible surface of the obi belt.
These marks are an inherent characteristic of upcycled kimono pieces, and we appreciate your understanding that they are part of the story each garment carries.

[Packing] Shipped in a special MACHIKO KIMONO kimono box.

*As all of our pieces are made by partially or fully disassembling the original kimono, there may be stains or slight damage common to vintage fabrics.
