Genuine vintage Japanese kimono.

This HAORI is called “KUROMONTSUKI HAORI 黒紋付羽織” in Japan.

It used to be worn as the first formal jacket for Japanese men.

One-of-a-kind-antique.

*Dated old, antique piece

Lining: 播州 赤穂浪士
Akō Rōshi refers to the forty-seven rōnin.

赤穂事件 Forty-seven rōnin
The revenge of the forty-seven rōnin (四十七士, Shijūshichishi), also known as the Akō incident (赤穂事件, Akō jiken) or Akō vendetta, is a historical event in Japan in which a band of rōnin (lordless samurai) avenged the death of their master on 31 January 1703.

Do you know how this story ends?
Is it a beautiful Japanese story that expresses fragility?
Forty-six rōnin of them committed seppuku.

I carefully handpicked this piece, which is in very good condition for a vintage garment.
*Fabric shows signs of age. Please see the pic.

Thank you for your understanding of damage to antique items.

This mark is called KAMON and is the emblem representing the family.
In the old days, only a few people of high status were allowed to have KAMON, but in the Meiji era (1868-1912), ordinary people were allowed to have KAMON.
This haori family crest is called 「丸に花菱紋」It is based on a pattern used in ancient China called "唐花 Karabana".
