“KAMON 家紋”
About the mark on this HAORI

This mark is called KAMON and is the emblem representing the family.
In the old days, only a few people of high status were allowed to have KAMON, but during the Meiji era (1868–1912), ordinary people were also permitted to use them.

This haori family crest is called 「横木瓜(よこもっこう / Yoko-mokkō)」.
Yoko-mokkō is a traditional Japanese family crest featuring the mokkō motif arranged in a horizontal orientation. The mokkō shape is inspired by the cross-section of the mokkō (quince) fruit and has long been associated with prosperity, fertility, and the flourishing of future generations in Japanese heraldic tradition.
