Genuine vintage Japanese kimono.

This HAORI is called “KUROMONTSUKI HAORI 黒紋付羽織” in Japan.

The haura (inner lining) features a powerful swimming carp alongside bold calligraphy reading “Nihon Danji” (“Japanese man”).
A striking and spirited detail unique to vintage men’s kimono. Rarely found today, this piece carries the playful sophistication of classic Japanese menswear.

It used to be worn as the first formal jacket for Japanese men.

My proposal is to wear haori as a unisex casual fashion, different from the original way of wearing kimono.

One-of-a-kind-vintage.

I carefully handpicked this piece, which is in very good condition for a vintage garment.

*Dated old, antique piece (Due to its age, this piece has some damage. Thank you for your understanding.)

[Condition]  There are multiple small age-related stains on the haura (inner lining). Please refer to the photos for details.

“KAMON 家紋”
About the mark on this HAORI

This mark is called KAMON and is the emblem representing the family.
In the old days, only a few people of high status were allowed to have KAMON, but during the Meiji era (1868–1912), ordinary people were also permitted to use them.

This haori family crest is called 「丸に笠(まるにかさ / Maruni-kasa)」.
Maruni-kasa is a traditional family crest featuring a kasa, a traditional Japanese hat, enclosed within a circle. The kasa motif is associated with protection, travel, humility, and everyday life, reflecting the practical beauty found in Japanese culture and craftsmanship.
