Genuine vintage Japanese kimono.

This HAORI is called “KUROMONTSUKI HAORI 黒紋付羽織” in Japan.

This piece is inspired by the dog paintings of Edo-period painter Nagasawa Rosetsu.
The charming expression captures Rosetsu’s distinctive sense of boldness and humor.
Finding one in such well-preserved condition is exceptionally rare, making this a highly collectible piece.

It used to be worn as the first formal jacket for Japanese men.

My proposal is to wear haori as a unisex casual fashion, different from the original way of wearing kimono.

One-of-a-kind-vintage.

I carefully handpicked this piece, which is in very good condition for a vintage garment.

“KAMON 家紋”
About the mark on this HAORI

This mark is called KAMON and is the emblem representing the family.
In the old days, only a few people of high status were allowed to have KAMON, but during the Meiji era (1868–1912), ordinary people were also permitted to use them.

This haori family crest is called 「丸に剣片喰(まるにけんかたばみ / Maruni-kenkatabami)」.
Maruni-kenkatabami is a traditional family crest featuring the katabami plant (wood sorrel) combined with stylized sword motifs and enclosed within a circle. The katabami has long symbolized prosperity and the continuation of family lineage, while the sword elements evoke strength and protection.
