[Care instructions]
Keep the cards away from water and high humidity.
Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade the cards and the box.
Store the cards in the paulownia box when not in use.
Do not wipe the box with water or alcohol, as this may damage the gold foil and the wood.
Paulownia is a natural wood. The grain and tone vary from box to box, and may deepen gently over time.

Regarding the maker of this deck, Oishi Tengu-Do:
A Kyoto maker of karuta since 1800. For more than 200 years, they have carried Japan's traditional card games — from Hyakunin Isshu poetry cards to hanafuda — into the present, and they make the Hyakunin Isshu cards certified by the All-Japan Karuta Association. The red tengu has been their registered mark since 1891. The deck in this set is their Kin-Tengu.
